Spring on the Northeast Coast
Boston continues to warm, with today as no exception. We are at the pivotal moment in weather here in New England, where it is just warm enough in the sun, and just a little too cold in the shade. This morning, on my ‘Monday’ (I know it is Tuesday, but I took yesterday off for the Marathon) morning grocery shop, I ran from sun spot to sun spot inbetween patches of shade through Downtown crossing to a small bodega on Park Street. I am at the point of time in my spring where I refuse to bring a jacket to work, even though the weather is changing from hour to hour right now.
In other news, today I ripped my favorite blouse beyond use, the latest victim of my huge binge eating weekend. I went on staycation and ate lots of steak with blue cheese crumbles, sweet potato casserole with pecan crust, and lava cakes filled with apriocot preserves. That and an amazing breakfast buffet during Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues. Oh, and a burrito bowl from Chipotle during an Epic Man event. Possibly any entire box of wheat thins. … So glad I wasted my time ironing that damn thing last night!
