ok… bye. :(
(WARNING: SPOILER) Not the ending I wanted, although 1. I knew it wouldn’t be and 2. I still thought it was genius. I was hoping that somehow they died on the plane and the island was purgatory. Instead, everything on the island actually did happen, and the characters created a different place, another purgatory, so that they could find eachother and move on together. The only reason I wasn’t hoping for that is because if everything on the island actually happened and it WASNT an after death experience, then the show is not based on the world as we understand it today (where time traveling, smoke monsters, and the light of life do not exist), and instead moves closer to science fiction. I wanted it to feel closer and more attainable. BUT THATS OK. I thought they did an amazing job of finding a way to bring most of the characters back, also working in flashbacks to many of the emotionally charged moments that formed the relationships they are re-discovering. I especially loved that  Sun and Jin were married in the alternate scenes, further proving that their commitment to eachother is the number one priority in their lives.
I am going to miss the series a lot, but I am glad the creative team did right by the show and ended it in such an epic way. Cue the orchestral piece, “Main title” by JJ Abrams.
